The #EuSAVE project conference was held in Kumrovec on the 26th and 27th September and among other domestic and foreign experts, the Secretary General of LNC Bojana Markotić Krstinić, held and intriguing and interesting presentation on LEADER/CLLD Approach as a Rural Development Accelerator.
Other subjects addressed at the conference were how to develop communities through a bottom-up participatory process, the involvement of youth in local decision-making, innovation in LAG’s local development strategies and strategic destination approach.
#EuSAVE - European Citizenship Action for Smart Historic Villages aims to establish and foster cooperation among rural areas in the EU, share good practices and knowledge for smart, sustainable and inclusive growth of local communities and encourage citizens to participate in democratic life and create local development strategy. Eight countries are participating in the project - Spain, Italy, Croatia, Belgium, Portugal, Bulgaria, Macedonia and Latvia. The project leader is the Spanish municipality of Vimianzo and the Croatian partner is the Local Action Group Zagorje - Sutla. The total budget of the project is 146,160 €. The project is funded under the Europe for Citizens program, measure 2.2. Networking cities.
